From having talked to a number of acid heads, I believe the correct verbiage is "All LSD does is make you do it while awake. And sometimes later on when you least expect it, so it's not necessarily lucid." The latter bit is why I'd never do LSD, even if it were legal and I was guaranteed a safe space to do it in. Some people never have those extra trips, but there's enough that do, and they can really mess you up - especially if they happen while you're doing something dangerous, like driving.
