I relate so much. I went to college for film. I really wanted to do cinematography, but in my Junior year, I started feeling exhausted and in pain all the time. Fast-forward like 10 years... I don't work in film, but I dabble with a YouTube channel so I still have a little bit of my passion in my life. Not the same though.

I trained for years to be a photographer, because I loved photography. Then I realized I would never be able to do it as a job due to various disabilities. It really took the wind out of my sails. I haven't taken a real photograph in years.

Uncomfortable realization time: I used to want to be a musician, paid the bills as an office drone for a while, and am now working as a handyman (which, who knew, turned out to be my dream job). My wife is an MLS grad student with an affinity for terrible puns and portmanteaus. I'm reasonably sure she isn't transgender, and we're at least ten years older than them, but in all other ways, we're basically Marten and Claire. ETA: and my best friend is basically Faye.
