Good night, people. They had *one* sorta date and it didn't go well because Clinton was insensitive (and has no idea about it, apparently) and they haven't even talked about it yet. Let Jeph tell the story before you write this off or declare that their love is eternally doomed. Especially with Clinton, who's gotten loads of character development over the years - learning that he was insensitive and fixing it could easily be another step in his development.

I think Clinton has good intentions and just needs like. Elliot to actually explain that he lied and WAS actually upset. And why. I don’t think it’s Clinton’s fault that he took him at his word—he’s not the best at this when he ISN’T super drunk and talking to someone being pretty indirect. (And it causes problems if you insist people are secretly mad at you after they tell you they aren’t. IME.)
