I've known people who made that transition. Comprehension tends to be worse when the transition was deliberate. Don't ask me to explain, I don't know. I didn't understand them, and I'm pretty sure I couldn't communicate it if I did. All I observed is whether other people seemed to get it or not. But I feel it's something that other people don't need to understand. They just need to understand that you do you, I do me, they do them. So long as we respect each other and don't cause intentional harm, it should all work out.

In my experience, Claire just needs some time to process it and know that her mom loves her, is proud of her, and that it wasn’t intentional. Likewise, Aurelia just needs to give her daughter some space right now and be ready to communicate once Claire is ready
