I'd say, only people who both want and need for someone to boss them around. Me? I'd have fired her before she could put down the pan after the second alarm. But I wouldn't have hired her to be my alarm clock, and I wouldn't have hired her with the carte blanche that Marigold did, in large part because I'm not Marigold and do not need help with the things Marigold needs help with. Sure, I got problems, but they're different. That's the thing about different people.

I dunno. I kinda see May as wanting to do this sort of job for Marigold - not for the job itself. Also, the challenge of pushing Marigold into adulting is exciting! Being a PA for the HannerMom would be very different - a lot more personal care, and a lot less business organizing. Someone like Tilly (wasn't that their name?) might attach themselves to her for the education, but I can't see May as that invested in that sort of personal growth. I'm rambling a lot here. Does any of this make sense?
