I made a comment once about it being better to wear pants like that than pants that were so uncomfortable you'd have rather just taken them off at the start. But the response I got was that pants that become that sheer tend to be pants that are so uncomfortable during yoga you'd have rather just taken them off at the start. Also, pants becoming "too sheer" isn't the only potential issue. One guy in a yoga class I was in had his pants rip in several rather embarrassing places. Although, I guess pants sheering is a kind of "too sheer". That said, there exist some wrong yoga pants that don't actually expose you like that. They just make doing actual yoga nigh impossible and/or super uncomfortable.

To be clear, sweat pants also work fairly well for yoga. It's not like the only options are tights or nude yoga.
