Um, I don't see her denying anything. I just see her saying some stuff to not do that she claims she wished someone had told her before she started. So, clearly she at some point intended to trip over the instructor's miniature gong, and feels it would've been better if someone had talked her out of it. My guess is, she would've wanted that because she did trip over the instructor's miniature gong, and it didn't work out as well as she had expected.

Unless you are particularly blind you usually remove your glasses before exercising. I bet Marigold has only minor vision problems so she needs glasses for reading or seeing her computer screen but can do alright without them otherwise. Plus yoga is one of those things that is difficult to do while keeping a pair of glasses on your face.
