I wish I had a basement, but they don't make them on the west coast. But I learned the hard way to put anything I stored in a basement on pallets, or 2x4s, or something so it's off the floor. :(

I live in Louisiana....Nobody in Louisiana has a basement...We don't have basements that flood. Our entire neighborhoods/towns flood....

Good luck with the basement. I am glad my house does not have a basement because last week it would have been flooded many times over. Today I was up by our Zen center checking out the two landslides beside the road going up there, due to the heavy rains here. Road closed to car traffic except for residents.

Couldn't have caused it. Independent AIs have been around and part of society longer than 2 years, and that didn't happen until the singularity.

My current theory is that either Yay directly caused the singularity or was a direct result of it.

This actually makes a lot of sense for Yay’s character. I always thought it was a little strange how this Uber powerful A.I. Just started hanging around. But it makes sense given their age. They started off realising how powerful they were and using that power to help, trying to be Noble. Then realised how quickly they could fall to the dark side, and sought to find some friends who could limit them and teach them.
