Just before the timeskip, Marigold came home from Aurelia's place yelling that they had to buy a house. Then there was the timeskip and the Cubetown arc. Now we're catching up with the Marigold household and finding out retrospectively what happened. It's basically the storytelling structure of the Iliad, applied to a passel of horny robots.
