Definitely try it alone. I said that because in my experience, smoking after drinking makes people feel a LOT more drunk and not so high. Like the difference between beer drunk and tequila drunk. Bad decisions are made! ;)

Nah, that's what happens if you wrap a bight of rope the 'usual' way, tuck the loose ends through the loops of one end, then slide the 'cylinder' down to keep the ends in place. E.g.: https://imgur.com/a/FxGPhDj It's not a great way to store rope, but it's not impossible and it's uncommon, but not unheard of.

No, I don't think that's right, Nicholas. The wrapping loops would be bulging because rope needs room to bend back on itself. And the wrapping area is cylindrical.

I'm actually pretty confused by the way the coils don't protrude from the bottom of the wrapped section. All we see is the free ends hanging down. So it seems like if anything, the coils go *right up to the bottom* of the outer wraps, but then that would slip off with any jostling.
