In one universe a young woman named Kelly had volunteered to become the wearer of some very powerful artifacts, with all five artifacts permanently locked onto her body she had become the most powerful person on that Earth with the potential to wipe out all life on the planet.
Of her own choice she had transformed herself, her flesh rubberised, inescapably encased in indestructible thick living rubber, an immortal rubber goddess utterly devoted to her Mistress.
In a final twist she had configured the flux of power flowing through her body so that only her beloved wife could even use the power.
This was not how these things worked, power corrupts and all that, the laws of narrative causality twisted and strained as one womans love transcended the corrupting influence of ultimate power and rewrote the rules.
Something had to give and it wasn't going to be the immortal rubber goddess currently snuggled up with her beloved Mistress on their honeymoon.
Narrative causality snapped, the backlash sending ripples out through reality, to effect all the Kellys in the multiverse ...
Kelly slowly made her way down the stairs into the cellar, hoping like hell the weird slapping sound wasn't being caused by flooding.
She fumbled for the light switch in the dark.
