[Misc.] Status on Law & Disorder, Patch, new modder utility

A few things I wanted to communicate on today, to keep you in the loop(s).
1. STATUS On Law & Disorder Work in Progress
For those who missed the last work in progress preview post, 🔗 it's there.
STATUS: We're getting closer and closer to the end goals for first release.
If anyone wants a precise list, here's where we're at now with what's left to do:
SERIOUS CONSIDERATIONS:
- Approach and address what happens when multiple Sims commit misbehaviors at once
- approach and address processing and sentencing Sims for several pending misbehaviors at once
- approach and address the possibility for Sims to run away
--> worst case scenario, to be faster first release would block these possibilities altogether while I keep working on them - but I would like to avoid that.
THINGS TO ADD ALTOGETHER:
- Some socials, moodlets and phone calls are still pending addition or completion
- setting for increasing / decreasing baseline sentence durations so you can adjust a little
- more QoL and debug cheats (cheat to skip through sentence for example)
- applying consequences to having a criminal record onto other mod and game processes
THINGS TO VERIFY AND ADJUST ACCORDINGLY:
- I have not tested yet in game to verify the mod's processes in full for the following offenses: blackmail, assault, excessive noise (apartments), hexing, naturing, child neglect, bill delinquency, trespassing. Upon testing these things, I expect some little adjustments to be needed, as that's usually how it goes.OTHER THINGS TO ADJUST
- Some further balancing in places where several outcomes are possible
- Split script pieces away from Toolbox
- Might be little things I didn't write down anywhere and that I'll recall later; I'll edit if so.

I will very likely start sharing prototype files for testing BEFORE I've finished all this, so while solid testers make note of problems I keep working on the rest. I hope this can keep the process as speedy as possible.

2. WHAT WILL COME NEXT AFTER L&D INITIAL RELEASE
- Finishing RPO Paternity Update
- RPO WTD Update
- In a Law & Disorder update, I want to add an option to go to Trial in person - as an 'animated' event (vs a rabbit hole with pop ups). BUT let's focus on finishing first version first :D
3. LATEST PATCH: PLEASE NOTE:
None of my mods were hurt by the latest patch, BUT Better Exceptions did break. If you are using an outdated version of it, It will produce Exception reports for my mods. The problem is it ITSELF broke, not RPO mods. So be sure to update your Better Exceptions if you use it!
4. A NEW THING: ONE MORE TOOL FOR MODDERS
I added one more Modder's tool to Mod Hound recently. It is accessible to any modder even those without an account. Its purpose is to help Modders who do a lot of Overrides have an easier time at patches.
It looks in Modder's work and tell them in which mod of theirs are EA Override files that the patch altered, so that they know more easily than before what Override files they need to update.
When I have time, I might expand the functionalities of this to help modders find files that need edits beyond overrides. Watch out also for the work of the PlumbBuddy team, who will down the line be making features to help modders manage patches.
(It is for MODDERS and will only help modders, NOT directly mod users)

Not till after Law and Disorder is finished. Tons of updates for various rpo collection mods are planned

Are you planning to add more features to your PRO collection mod any time soon? That one is my favourite one, can't imagine playing without it, any updates regarding it?

Welcome baaaack! Hope you'll have good fun with your game! Yes that would be a good integration to work out with the EA stuff, I haven't really looked at pack stuff in detail so I wasn't even aware that was a particular thing eheh, thanks for bringing it up

I'm finally back to playing the game! Yours were, of course, the first mods I updated. I had an idea for better continuity with the Life and Death pack: would there be a way to have not wanting a child block the have a child life journey goal OR have said life journey goal change the want to have a child in RPO? I can story tell around the discrepancy, but it would be cool if they played nicer. ;) No pressure, though!
