Make sure to remove any older Toolbox version you might have.

For any serious troubleshooting, we're going to have to use Discord due to the complex nature of this mod. Find the links to that in the post linked above.
OCT 27:
a BIG update today, because it re works the reporting system to give you more control if you want it.
Default report mode is now "Auto & Manual" (vs only "auto" before): you can manually report sims when they're doing misbehaviors, in addition to letting sims decide. Or you can switch off automatic decisions entirely:

Today also brings changes to the mod's sound and pop-up window behaviors.
Most notably, you'll see court pop-ups only about Sims in your played households
and you'll hear report sound effects only if the sim being reported is the currently played one
I will be continuing to go through the list of things to add (shared on the description page).

Make sure you have Toolbox v1.179.4 or newer installed
DOWNLOAD & Installation:
1 - remove files from previous versions, if any
2 - REQUIRED: Lumpinou's Toolbox Library-Mod, version 1.179.4 or more recent for this.
If you have an older version of it, DELETE IT FIRST.
3 - extract the archive file, and put the package and script file of Law and Disorder and the included script file of Toolbox within into your mods folder or one subfolder.

Hi, currently no autonomy for crimes is allowed, except EA stuff responds to the EA autonomy 'rules'. Settings for autonomy are planned but I didn't have time to put that in for v1

Hi, it's fine to use on a public lot, as to what happened that would be really hard to tell, if you do it again in another context do you observe the same result?

This sounds fun - I'm going to check it out! Do the NPC's do crime autonomously or is it only the played household that can do it? Will an NPC for example set something on fire on a public lot?

Not sure if it's an error or maybe something I accidently changed or haven't enabled in the settings, but when I had a sim "reap" another sims life, it didn't work. The emote was there for the sim who did the action and the animation happened, but the "reaped" sim never actually... "reaped" lol if that makes sense. *Edit: It also was on a public lot, not sure if that matters.

This mod is so much fun thank you so much! My sim is not going so well though and keeps getting arrested ha Is there an option to bribe the police? I've had a look and can't seem to see anything but may have missed it.

I downloaded it, but it says that it conflicts with your mood pack mod. How can I fix this? I have the right toolbox downloaded, too. Thank you. This is the first time I downloaded this mod on November 7th, and I love the mod. I just can't seem to figure out why it says it conflicts with your mood pack when the mood pack says it doesn't conflict with any mods. Did you update the mod or anything on November 12th? I ran a test to see if it needed updating, and it said it was updated on November 12th, but I don't see anything on your site about it or on Scarlet that it was updated. So, I am just a little confused at this point. But I love the mod.

Hi! I played with the mod and it worked fine until recently, I tested my mods and its the Law and disorder that cause my game to not work, I originally had it in a sub folder in my mods file , and I have tried to do it without it being in a sub folder but no luck. I also deleted all my mods and reinstalled, any ideas ?

Hi, sounds like you are talking about reparation sum for victim? That's different from files and it just gets taken out, it might not do the animation for it I'll have to check

hey i have a question about the fines. My sim did get one but a message popt up and they said that they took it from my household incomee. But they didnt take anything and nothing shows up on the mailbox. Thanks

Hi, criminal Sims are less likely to report iirc, but can still report - yes I can make a 'never reports crimes' attribute too

Hello, I have a question about this mod... Is there a way where certain sims will never report a crime? I know you can change it so that your sim will never be reported for a crime they commit but wasn't sure if you can change it so they never do the reporting. Basically I don't want my criminal sims being snitches haha.

Hi and thanks for the message. This was a good laugh with how you're farming trials for money π this way your sim will have enough to pay his own bail and fines when sentenced π Trigger arrest cheat is indeed meant to emulate an arrest from the point where a sim has witnessed a thing and is reporting it. Later there will be a gameplay option to 'make report against' (for fake) and deal with fake accusations, but the cheat serves for real ones so yeah you'll be making π°π°π°π

Great Mod! It has my vote for best new mod of the year. If they even give those awards out. My sim has found a way to play the system in this mod. He has made a ton of money so far. I use the cheat arrest. My sim is the victim and choose another sim as the guilty party. I use the assault charge. The next day, you go to court, or you can cheat it now if you like. If they are found guilty (even though they are innocent) they have to pay you some money. My sim is skilled enough (I don't know what skill it is) that I don't need to hire a lawyer. Either himself or a public defender will be best because they are free. You choose the expensive lawyer, even though you might win, you still lose money because you had to pay the $25,000 lawyer fee or whatever it is. I will try it over and over on the same sim just in case the fees they pay you get higher each time. I don't know if that's the case but will find out. If my sim isn't playing the system, he is definitely spending some good quality time in jail. I may have to get the orange jumpsuit and use it as his everyday clothes if he continues to stay in jail.

Hey Lumpimou! I cannot seem to get onto my game since downloading the Law & Disorder mod. As soon as I click on the save file I want to load, it goes back onto the choose world menu. Hi, Autonomous fighting doesn't count as a misbehavior in most cases exactly because Sims do it all the time lol, but if they do it in front of a crowd then it counts as 'disrupting the public order' so gotta watch out aha
