"Man in the Mirror" off to the printer's
🕑 Added 2024-09-12 14:17:05 +0000 UTCHello supporters, just wanted to send out a quick update to let you all know I've finished assembling my new 'zine, "The Man in the Mirror, a cautionary tale" and sent it out to the printer's. I should be receiving the freshly printed copies back during the third week of September, and will immediately begin mailing out copies. A print comic will be sent to all members of the 'Zine Club and the Fun Time enthusiasts.
The Man in the Mirror is an all-new original cartoon, 12 pages, black and white, 4.75x4.75 inches. I really like this format, I think it works great for the funny little cartoon strips. It's almost like a physical version of Instagram, which is where over the past few years, I developed my cartoon essay style and got the hang of putting together little comics like this.
For non-'Zine Club members, this is a great time to sign up! $5 a month for new comics regularly in your mailbox is pretty good value.
Just a quick plug for my somewhat monthly newsletter. Sign up for it here and you'll get a more substantive update on other things I've got going on, outside of the 'Zine Club. New comics, news about upcoming talks and workshops, and recently I've begun sharing some of the artwork from my newest middle-grade book in progress. It's free to subscribe, and just a great way to stay in the Mike Dawson know.
