THANK YOU the black areas are a very experimental thing for me- I’ve never worked with shadows this way! But I’m having a lot of fun with the posibilities its bringing me. And I’m glad the expressions come across so well, they’re pretty much the focal point of the comic!

I’m just here for the pain. Like feel free to rip me to shreds and then piece me back together again (or don’t piece me back together. I’m comfortable living in pieces). That being said I LOVE the use of shadows here and how perfectly it portrays the unknown and the desperation and the pain that they’re feeling as they way. Gaara’s expressions are so telling and so STRONG - I feel myself making the faces he makes and empathizing with him. I’m here for the long run 😍
