The specific part you pointed out with Yoongie was staccato, each sound is sharply detached from the other, it almost feels a bit discordant and emotional. They are particularly good at using staccato to punch home the lyrics and switch it up with legato, that smooth melodic blend they do so well. When they combine these opposites, you get a kind of "punch in the gut" emotional feeling that makes their music so powerful Then they combine that with the content and we feel all of it.
