He wants to be known for his talent as a signer, rapper, dancer, and artist. That's why the other members call themselves the visual, to take the focus off of him when it's brought up in interviews.

this is a late comment but on the off chance you see it i just wanted to clarify that jyp never said "no" to the little kids at the start - they were there for the annual showcase to monitor if they were still a fit for the company and to see where their overall strengths and weaknesses lie - the only people who were being considered for debut were the girls team and skz. love the reactions, keep it up!

Honestly i personally think Woojins voice never really suited skzs sound. Don’t get me wrong he has a lovely voice but his voice shines better as a soloist than it did when he was in the group. And after he left the group distributed lines better and their sound changed and improved(not that it was ever bad they just matured and became the amazing group they are today) .

i understand where jypapi is coming from in some aspects tbh (SOME. don't get it twisted i had the gasoline ready since ep 4) when he said that as he eliminated the members he thought weren't ready and could jeopardise the group, although the performances did get cleaner/ had less mistakes, the energy they had as 9 wasn't there anymore (almost like as each member got eliminated they were losing their spark/ individuality more and more). A performance can be as perfect as possible but if it doesn't have that great energy it that means nothing, i love that. I'm glad jypapi realised that before it was too late and said that he brought them back for another chance so he can debut them without regrets and not just do what's convenient/ less of a hassle for him. (sorry for this literal novel lmao i didn't know i typed this much until i looked up from my keyboard njbhygtvcfrd)

He is an absolute idiot for taking Felix and MINHO, the most capable person on the damn team, out for views. He took them out for emotional interest in the show. Do you know what the word Show means? It’s means to display. To Exhibit. He’s displaying all of this shit for his personal gain. Of course this show wouldn’t have even been a hit without the Stray kids participating. He did not have to do to half the things he did in this show for them to succeed regardless. Letting this guy walk home in the rain after you dismissed him while he’s shown the effort that any other big company like HYBE would be grabbing at. Him re-showing all the trauma on the last episode was not to express how much they’ve been through but to keep viewers locked in. JYP clearly couldn’t care how much they’ve been through and multiple groups that have left JYP have said so. He’s been lenient so far as OP stated, SKZ, TWICE, and ITZY are paying his bills.

JYP was under pressure? HE MADE THE SHOW. HE DIRECTED IT. Groups like Stray kids wouldn’t exist because they either choose not to or it isn’t their time. Labels fund and support. They do not necessarily need their Labels for anything. Having the money and streaming will help. They do not necessarily need JYP. JYP was wrong for fucking with their minds this entire show, every KPOP survival show has and always will be entertainment versus actual trauma. All of the stuff they went through was just for the shits and views for JYP.

Oh wow I know exactly what you mean! This is definitely more obvious for me when I'm watching Nigel on my TV (I have to lower and raise the volume throughout because the difference between his voice audio and the video audio is wild😩). Now I stick to watching Nigel's videos with headphones on using my phone because the difference isn't as drastic for me that way.

I hadn't heard Jeongin compliment himself previous to 5star like ever. Nigel i hate to be picky like this but its been bothering me for forever 😭 is there any way to make the video audio higher or your own audio a little quieter ? Its REALLY difficult to hear the video if I have you at a normal volume, but if I turn the vid up then when you pause and talk its like WAY too loud. Maybe this isn't an issue for everyone and my ears are the issue but. I thought I'd mention it/ask in case you go through these comments. I can accept and be thankful that he brought them back, since SKZ wouldn’t be the same without them, but let’s not act like that wasn’t largely because of negative opinions on him letting them go in the first place. I for one won’t pretend that he’s some sort of savior., especially since he’s done close to nothing in the long run via production, song writing, etc. except for provide a building for SKZ to work in. He’s caused more harm than foul and it shows in how all of his artists regard him. He’s big in the industry, but im allowed, just like many others, to think he’s a bozo :)

YES. I truly do feel like JYP modeled this show as entertainment. The fact that Bang Chan waited so long, and then had to go through this, and all of the other members had to go through this, genuinely seemed like a sick joke of “even if I debut them, they will fail”. And now that SKZ keeps the fucking lights on for JYP, I can only imagine how much of a jabroni JYP feels like he is.
