oh yeah all their vocals were incredible -- changbin just happens to be the only one who had any training at JYPE with intentions to be a vocalist (he started his training as a dancer/vocal before his trainer suggested rap!!)

Nigel dont need to struggle, about trying to word it nicely. Binnie was holding onto the MIC stand for dear life and Hyunjin was bending himself into origami to hit those notes. I still love the commitment ❤

They switched to challenge themselves it was not because that wanted a perfect cover like that was the point, if you watch the other side keep that in mind

there's definitely a reason the units were split like they were (to play to their strengths) but it's a live performance for a 3hr fanmeeting -- considering changbin is the only one who originally was trained vocally, this is so so impressive

If/when you listen to the vocal line do Muddy Water I might keep moderate expectations bc HONESTLY imo I feel like it was a little rougher than this performance mainly bc I.N. did Binnie's part which was easily the weakest aspect of it for me

I kinda feel the same way for the vocal line doing muddy water but since they were not as nervous it sounds more stable and confident. Especially I.N and Seungmin. Like they are not the best rappers definitely but they were so confident doing it that it ended up being really smooth. I hope you will watch it soon!

To me they sounded a bit unstable but then I realized that they definitely did not work as much as usual on this performance because it was not very serious. I think it was for a fan meeting or smth like that, not a real performance. I am still happy that they did it as the rapline even tho they are not used to sing in songs. I love your honest reaction on it.

This was just a fun thing to gift to stays at their fan meeting. Of course, they still took it seriously considering how somber the song is, but it was just a swap between the waiting for us team and the muddy water team. You should definitely check out the vocal line’s performance now, Seungmin and I.N looked so excited and Chan definitely had fun too. If they really wanted the rap line to do a really good vocal performance they would’ve picked something more within their range and most likely made it an official cover instead.

This song is so difficult because of how slow the tempo is for nearly the whole thing. It is hard to have a strong, steady voice when the tempo is so slow. You could hear the change and that they had more confidence once the beat picked up toward the end. They did a great job with a difficult song. I am glad you posted this because I have only seen the other team covering "Muddy Water" and I wondered if these guys did a cover too. Thank you

I think it’s really impressive how they managed to switch songs and still do a little something with it. Obviously the rap line won’t do as flawlessly as the vocalists with their constant vocal training

I’m with you Nigel. This was a tough one for them to take on since it was specifically written for people with certian vocal tones. They likely didn’t have a lot of time to practice either. The Muddy Water one is a lot of fun though. 😊

Ok, I'm here now. But bcuz you watched this you need to watch the vocal line doing muddy water. Yea, you can tell that Hyunjin was a bit uncomfortable but trying his absolute best. And we love him so much for it. It definitely wouldn't be at the same level as the vocal line but they did a really great job. I was shocked most by felix honestly. Like i know he can sing (deep end is a top 5 song) but i was very pleasantly surprised by him.
