i love lore so so much and i think most atinys do too so we look up stuff and that's why we know so much. it's so fun to decipher sht! horizon is in my top 3, i saw it live last year and i cried so much. also you have to know by now how ateez structure most of their songs and EPs, it will always start off "slow", builds up and gives you antidrops (basically musical edging lmfao like thats the only way to say it sorry) then they will give it to you fully at the end. i think that's so unique bc not many people can do that whilst also keeping your attention throughout the whole song, leaving you wanting more.

the thing about the horizon color coded lyrics that annoys me is that one or two of the members get mixed up, because jongho does not sing that part towards the end, its yunho. jongho comes in with that high note. and seonghwa sings that part in the prechorus, not yunho

Horizon as a song was made for the performance I feel. If you watch the dance practice you appreciate the song a lot more. I felt the same on my first listen lol

I think most Atiny consider Answer the "Queen" of Ateez songs. When it first came out everybody thought it would get them a win on at least one of the music shows and the fact that it didn't just shows what a struggle these groups from the non big four have to go through to win or gain recognition. I think that's one of the reasons the Atiny's who were there for this era hold Answer close to their heart and call it Queen Answer. 😢😭 Like how could this song not get a win!!??

Its funny how personal taste can be so different, because for me Horizon is one of my favorites, together with a lot lf tracks from the World Eps and Golden Hour while Answer doesnt even make it to the top 30 for me, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love that song, its just really not my vibe on a daily basis

I freakin’ LOVE Horizon! It is so fun to dance to. I think it is one of those songs that on the first listen it is so unexpected that it doesn’t click for everyone the first time around. But it is so unique and such a vibe! Star 1117 is so beautiful in concert. They’ve made me cry so many times with this song. And the concert after COVID where Hongjoong fell apart… phew. I’m choking up thinking about it. Answer was top 3, and it is still up there, but there are some AMAZING songs on the way. I still go through days where I blast Answer to get myself motivated. And I love listening to the hidden vocals on YT.

From what I've seen it seems like you're not the biggest fan of the general sound of Ateez. Just keep listening to albums and you'll find songs you'll like of course (because they have songs for every genre) but this is basically how they generally sound like. I know each album is different but they always have that Ateez feel to it. Compared to BTS' discography (since I'm familiar with both groups): they're less Pop-py (?), also much less Hiphop Here's what you can expect: Your next series (Fever Series) is gonna be a lot more Pop-py but once you enter The World Series (my ABSOLUTE favorite) you're gonna find more "moody" music instead

The dance practice is iconic (because of yeosang's outfit). Horizon wasn't my favorite but it's a performance piece (like a lot of ATEEZ songs) where to appreciate it you need to see the chores to appreciate the full picture.

7.8 is a fair rating. I didn't like Horizon the first time, but listening to it during your review made me like it a bit more. ATEEZ use an anti-drop a lot. To me, it makes me appreciate the bigger drop at the end of the song more. Can't wait for you to get into the FEVER series.
