omg nigel please what is this surprise IM IMPATIENT!! this song is very famous in korea bc it celebrates the hardships that south korea had to endure. also ateez are VERY competitive and every member on different occasions has mentioned how they always want to better themselves and challenge and push their own limits. hongjoong also writes his own lyrics and rap like 99% of the time when ateez/he covers songs.

I think at least a couple of reasons they accept the invitation to perform at Immortal Songs is one, they make connections with beloved performers in Korea (which is why we saw La Poem on Kingdom!) and also because two, this show is very popular and they probably get more buzz from appearing here more than they did on Kingdom. I think this is the performance that the Korean National Police Agency started following them on Insta and everybody joked it was because the police were keeping an eye on them in case they tried to overthrow their government. LOL ๐
