I can't comment on the song style, but the old generation is definitely much more talented than the new generation. The last generation of kpop is more oriented towards visuals than talent.Even if they sing live in today's groups, always have a back track in the back (most of them don't sing live anyway). In the past, kpop was not like this, there was neither lip syncranization nor back track.
