OJTTEG-Chapter 30: He Won Far Too Much
🕑 Added 2025-09-25 03:30:37 +0000 UTC"Wait, why am I hearing a second set of footsteps?" Haunter suddenly senses something, bending down to catch the faint sound of running in the rain.
"Who is it?"
...
Should she go check it out?
Fiona ponders, troubled. Although she's given the siblings a chance to communicate, will they end up arguing?
"The park is right next to my house; should I try to walk over and take a look? Just a quick glance."
With that thought, Fiona finds herself inexplicably heading towards the park.
It's so dark, with the rain carrying a smoky scent.
Smoke?
She hasn't walked far when a block of color disappears in front of her. It's hard to see in the night, but the disappearance of such a tall, dark block can only mean one thing.
"Why did that building collapse?"
What is that place?
St. Andrew's Park! Where Anastasia and Haunter are!
What happened to them? The building collapsed—are they hurt?
An orange-haired figure suddenly dashes toward the park, abandoning the umbrella on the ground. Rain quickly soaks the inside, as if it's weeping.
……
St. Andrew's Park, 8:00 PM.
"An, are you there?"
Outside the ruins, raindrops fall gently, like icy threads landing on his skin. A dark figure stands near the debris, calling out repeatedly.
The collapse of the building has already caught some attention, but thankfully, the distant fire and noise from the affluent area have drawn everyone's eyes away.
He needs to get them out quickly.
The figure hesitates briefly. Normally, he wouldn't take such a risk, but inside the rubble are two exceptionally beautiful individuals.
"Beauty is the finest delicacy," he mutters to himself.
In the darkness, the figure seems to grow larger, extending a pair of rough, inhuman hands to move the rubble piece by piece.
He continues to make strange noises.
"Hold on, I'm coming to rescue you! Are the people inside still alive? Respond quickly!"
No answer.
Typically, when there's no response, it means one of two things: either the other party knows he's trying to hypnotize them, so they don't reply, or they're already dead.
Both are possible, but they're surely exhausted by now. If it comes to a fight, victory would likely be his.
Would they team up to attack him?
It might be dangerous, but who cares?
They're irresistible, both in terms of the allure of their flesh and their appearance, far surpassing anyone he's tasted before.
"Tap, tap, tap..."
A faint, subtle sound of running. Though barely audible, to the figure's ears, it's like a sudden clap of thunder. He swiftly hides among the ruins.
……
The air is tense, with both parties on edge, watching the figure approaching from afar. A delicate balance seems to hang in the air.
"An! Haunter!" A fiery orange figure emerges, shouting frantically before stopping to catch her breath.
"Fiona!" An gasps softly, "Why is she here?"
"Damn, are they trapped underneath?" Fiona, drenched from head to toe, tries to make a call.
No response.
"She should have called mine; my phone's already crushed."
"No worries, she won't get through to mine either." Haunter quickly powers off his phone.
"What do we do now?"
Just as An speaks, Fiona slowly approaches the debris, continuing to press her screen.
She's already tried both An's and Haunter's numbers, so whose number is she dialing now? Her parents'? She doesn't have their number either.
Is she considering calling the police?
If she does, and the authorities find this location, the murderer would be exposed.
Based on the information Haunter has gathered, the murderer is never discovered.
Which means if she calls the police, Fiona's fate would be one of two outcomes: either killed on the spot by the murderer, or added to the murderer's list of victims.
This is bad! Haunter quickly taps An's shoulder.
"Let's get moving and rescue her! She's about to call the police!"
Meanwhile, the figure hiding nearby swiftly pulls away a larger piece of debris, appearing before Fiona like a bolt of lightning.
"Huh?" Fiona hesitantly lifts her head, meeting a pair of green eyes. A deep-seated fear makes her legs tremble.
They stand frozen for a second.
At the moment the debris is lifted, two barely visible figures dash out from beneath the rubble like cockroaches.
"No matter why you paused for a second, I'm definitely taking this chance."
In the next moment, the figure in front of Fiona finds his wrists and ankles slashed, blood pouring out.
Fiona suddenly feels a sharp pain in her neck and collapses, quickly dragged to safety behind the debris by An.
"Bastard!"
Only now does the figure realize that these two had been lying in wait within the crevices, springing into action once the slab was lifted and blocked his view.
An had fiercely slashed at his wrists and ankles with her nails before diving back into the rubble.
Haunter, meanwhile, crouches low behind, aiming at him almost as if lying flat on the ground.
How could an ordinary human harm him?
The tall figure's eyes are full of disdain, but he unexpectedly finds himself unable to move. Looking down, he sees the wounds on his wrists and ankles show no signs of healing.
"Though I'm not sure what's happening, it seems the advantage is mine now."
Haunter flashes a wicked smile.
The figure quickly realizes that something has been done to his wounds.
This is bad!
……
Alright, here's a quick Q&A!
Facing a nearly three-meter-tall giant, how do you deal with him?
The answer is, of course...
"Testes!"
No male creature is immune to the fear of an attack on their testes.
"Bang!"
Haunter shouts, firing a few shots from his pink Glock Pistols towards the area between the giant's legs.
Truth be told, Haunter's shooting skills aren't top-notch.
But who cares? If he can't hit from less than two meters away, that would truly be classified as a level three disability. Whether he hits the testes or some other awkward spot, this guy will need some time to recover.
After all, no matter how strong a male is, the weakness is always the testes!
"I bet that hurts, and I am…… Iron Man the Testicular Fighter!" Haunter's voice rings out triumphantly.
"Ow!!!!"
"Cough, cough..."
Suddenly, the giant's howl and the coughing from someone nearby choking on saliva echo through the air.
At this moment, Haunter knows he's got the upper hand.
