Racing against time and enemy pursuit, Casey, Maude, and Magnus the Gladewalker Elk have finally reached the lands of the Roaring Mountain.
The fact that they did so only after battling against yet another entitled idiot from the Bronze Fist should come as no surprise at this point.
Now, though, the real challenge begins. The Roaring Mountain clan is known as one the most powerful clans in the entire Nation. Drengr from dozens of other subordinate clans gather in hopes of joining their ranks and bonding with a spirit beast in lifelong companionship.
With a new friend in tow, Casey heads to the heart of the Roaring Mountain to both learn more about this path that might lead him to the strength he needs, and maybe a few old friends as well.
What new challenges lie along the Drengr’s Road for Casey and his companions? Only the gods know, and even then their vision is clouded.

As I've told several people, Steelforged Legacy was written as a monogamous Romance. That being said, I don't 100% control every aspect of the characters. I write like I'm taking down an incident report and I have to figure out what they did and why. I had forgotten Maude's ancestry with her dad having 3 wives. And how my characters delight in changing their minds on stuff. So it is entirely possible that there might be a small harem or just a triad forming, but I cannot give a 100% concrete answer as I haven't written it yet. It's probably a 60/40 split in the favor of them accepting the person I'm thinking of, but I cannot guarantee stuff. TL:DR - dunno yet, characters are being weird, but definitely maybe?

Wonderful book, just finished it and am already excited for the next. I do however have to ask just outta pure curiosity, is this series gonna be completely monogamous? because if it is i can finally stop trying to ship characters other than just maude with casey in my head. It seems like it is based on Casey’s answers but with Maude bringing it up so often i cant be sure and so i would like the brain weasels in my head to settle down so i can just enjoy without having baseless hope or uncertainty fighting for first place.

Finished it on KU. Great read. Thanks as always. Can’t leave a rating at the last page / finish as normal - no way to give any stars etc. would have left full marks, so maybe worth checking before others get through it . .?
