Ten years? twenty years? hundreds even?
The girl had already lost track of time, but it was long enough for the slow and subtle changes to accumulate and change her body further.
Over time, her smooth human skin was completely replaced by white dragon scales. The horns, back spikes, and the tail have significantly grown. Her limbs are now closer to an animal, both in appearance and function.
===============================
She only took notice of the changes when her belly started swelling, she assumed it was only some constipation, except she never had a need to eat anything after her failed transformation.
The girl decided to let time take care of it, thinking it was just another alteration to her body that she did not understand.
More years have gone by, a strange scaled beast is wandering on its four legs. On a closer look, it carries a swollen belly, anyone who could have seen it will assume that it was an animal looking for a place to bear its offspring.
Three eggs the size of two human fists were laid in three different locations,
with no way to carry even a single egg, the creature had to leave its eggs and just pray that nature will find a way to take care of them.
