Just to clear the Heimerdinger "death" with some lore about the world, He is a yordle (this small creatures), yordles can't die, when it happens they just respawn at bandle city (yordle's city). So Heimerdinger did sacrifice itself but knowing that he'll just respawn in bandle city.

Vi thought that Caitlyn still hated Jinx, and that by choosing to break Jinx out of prison, she would lose Caitlyn forever. When Cait said "You really think I needed all the guards at the Hexgates? Sorry to say, you've grown a bit predictable," she was saying that she knew Vi was going to try and let Jinx free, and so she instructed all the guards to be elsewhere to make this possible. It's her way of saying "I trust you and your decisions, you didn't choose wrong, and you haven't lost me"
