Peace and Plenty Chapter 1: Ahsoka's Overindulgence

‘Look at this place!’ Ahsoka Tano exclaimed, turning her head this way and that. ‘I think the living room alone must be twice the size of my old room at the Jedi Temple!’
‘And certainly a lot bigger than anything you’ve been used to since, I’d guess,’ Lux Bonteri commented, stepping up to the Togruta woman. He put his arm around her shoulders tenderly. ‘It’s what you deserve, considering you saved the Republic.’
‘Lux, for the last time, I played a very small role,’ Ahsoka said, face flushing a little. ‘It’s Rex and Fives and Anakin who really deserve the credit.’
‘With all due respect to Master Skywalker, the Chancellor would have continued to dupe him if you hadn’t brought Maul’s information back from Mandalore in time,’ Lux told her earnestly. ‘And it was that discovery that made people look deeper into ARC Trooper Fives’ claims.’
Ahsoka snaked her own arm around Lux’s waist, squeezing him tight. ‘It was too late for Fives,’ she said quietly. ‘But at least it wasn’t too late for everyone else.’ Perking up, she twisted Lux around in her arms and moved her hands up to his shoulders. He moved his down to her hips.
‘And now with Bail Organa as Supreme Chancellor, and noble Senators like you and Padme negotiating peace with the Separatists, the Republic might actually stand a chance of becoming something better,’ the ex-Jedi complimented the Senator. It was Lux’s turn to blush, and then Ahsoka broke the tension by punching him, quite hard, on the shoulder. ‘Ow!’ he protested.
‘If you don’t mess it up,’ Ahsoka finished playfully, then pressed her lips passionately into Lux’s.
Lux was rather bowled over by the kiss, and once it was over, he mumbled, ‘I’ll, uh, I’ll try not to…’ His eyes were hazy with pleasure.
‘Good,’ Ahsoka said brightly, and gave him another light peck. ‘Now, let’s go and inspect this new flat, shall we?’
As she led Lux through into the kitchen, which was gleaming and massive, Ahsoka considered how unexpectedly her life was turning out. After she and Rex had returned to Coruscant just in time to stop Order 66 and to save Anakin from the Dark Side, her old Master and Padme had persuaded her to stay up top for a while. She wasn’t about to return to the Jedi Order, as much as she could tell Anakin wanted it, but she’d stayed in the 501st’s barracks, visiting her old friends during the day. She’d also become involved in coordinating relief efforts for the Undercity once the peace was achieved, and it was there she’d run into Lux Bonteri again.
Committed to rooting out corruption, and a keystone in making peace with the Confederacy, Lux was a rising star in the Galactic Senate. He’d heard plenty about Ahsoka’s recent heroics, and they’d quickly rekindled their friendship from the war. They’d joked and laughed, they’d sadly reminisced, they’d expressed their admiration for each other. And then eventually Ahsoka had kissed Lux rather like she’d just done, and within six months they’d got married.
So, Lux had moved out of his bachelor pad and the pair of them, their marriage two weeks old, were moving into their new home. Their luggage had been eagerly taken by some attendants at the base of the building; clearly their reputations preceded them. Ahsoka had felt a little odd at not carrying her own bag, but Lux had assured her she didn’t have to anymore. She was a Senator’s wife now, after all, he’d joked. She’d punched him on the shoulder for that too.
Once they’d looked through the top-of-the-range kitchen, Ahsoka and Lux trod into the dining room, and the orange-skinned woman gasped.
There was a simply dizzying array of food laid out on the table: fried Nuna legs, steaks, crispy bacon and sizzling sausages. There were meaty wraps and salty surprises, five varieties of pasta, jam tarts and chocolate puffs and cream-filled pastries. To top it all off, there were two enormous cakes in the centre of the table, one Jogan fruitcake, the other an impossibly rich cheesecake. Ahsoka had been used to military rations during the war, and even now that the Undercity was getting much better food supplies, they still didn’t have anything like this quality.
‘By the stars…’ Ahsoka muttered, and moved towards the small banquet, sniffing the air. Her mouth started to water slightly at all the different scents, each one tantalising. ‘Why… why have they done this?’
Lux was almost as surprised by the spread as his wife. He paced up the full length of the rectangular table, and stood at the other end. ‘Well, I was expecting some kind of welcome basket. But this… I think they must really like us, Ahsoka,’ he laughed.
Ahsoka’s stomach rumbled, and she remembered she hadn’t eaten since lunchtime, and then only a medium-sized wrap. She picked up one of the wraps on display here, and bit into it. She half-moaned in delight and immediately had a second bite.
‘Goodness, it’sh sho juishy. Sho many different flavoursh,’ she commented. She scoffed the entire thing down in a few seconds, then wiped her mouth clean of the meaty remnants.
Lux laughed. ‘I thought the Jedi would have taught you better manners than that,’ he said in amusement.
Ahsoka laughed back, then put her hands on her hips and replied: ‘I’ve not been a Jedi for some time, or have you forgotten?’ Her eyes flickered to the waiting plates again. The Jedi had taught her to be reticent with how much you ate, and really that wrap should have been enough. But, by the Force, those sausages did look good.
‘Well, feel free to have more, Ahsoka,’ Lux encouraged her. ‘Like I said, you deserve it after everything you’ve been through.’
Ahsoka hesitated, then grabbed a plate and spooled a string of fat sausages onto it. ‘I guess a little more couldn’t hurt,’ she remarked.
At first, Ahsoka ate standing up. After consuming the sausages, she went for some of the (very fancy) crisps in (equally fancy) wooden bowls. Lux cut off a few sausages himself to make sandwiches, but after eating those and two chocolate puffs he was quite full. He was also rather transfixed by Ahsoka.
After eating through three-quarters of a bowl of crisps, and still feeling hungry, Ahsoka pulled up a chair and sat down. She piled another helping of sausages onto her plate, along with steak and mushrooms, before taking up a hefty slice of sweet, sugary apple pie as well, making sure to place it on a separate plate so the tastes wouldn’t contaminate each other. Ahsoka practically sucked down the sausages, interspersing her swallows with bites of steak and mushroom, and once she was done with the whole panoply, forked bite after bite of steaming pie into her gob. When she was done, she hiccuped and stifled a burp.
‘Wow…’ Lux commented, rather breathtaken. ‘You, uh… you must really have been hungry…’
Ahsoka chuckled, experiencing a kneejerk twinge of embarrassment, but mostly just feeling happy. She knew Lux wasn’t judging her: if anything he looked kind of… pleased.
‘I think this is the best food I’ve ever tasted,’ Ahsoka explained. ‘The steak was so plump, the crisps were so… well, crisp… and goodness, that pie was fantastic…’ Ahsoka reached forward, and cut off another, bigger slice of the pie. As she ate it, she eyed up the Nuna legs. As she swallowed the last bite, she stood up, wincing a little at the developing tightness in her abdomen. She picked up two Nuna legs and bit ravenously into one.
‘You… uh… weren’t done with the pie?’ Lux asked uncertainly. ‘All the time I’ve known you, you’ve never eaten more than one helping of anything.’
Grease streamed down Ahsoka’s cheeks, and she hiccuped again. She was rather shocked at her own gluttony, and in truth had been starting to feel full on the first slice of pie. But she still had no hesitation about carrying on.
‘Blame the cooks, Lux,’ she said, grinning at her husband cheekily. ‘They made this food too damn good.’ It really was utterly delectable, she thought to herself.
Once Ahsoka had stripped both Nuna legs bare, she laid back in her chair. Her stomach was absolutely stuffed through her shirt now. Since her belly was so flat, the slight food-packed curve in her abdomen was actually very noticeable. There were meaty stains around her mouth. The Togruta wasn’t in pain, but she was very very full.
Lux was shocked, but not in a bad way. Ahsoka had always been so strict with herself as a Jedi; it was nice to see her let herself go.
‘I am going to have to work out so hard tomorrow morning…’ Ahsoka laughed. She leaned back up, and her eyes fell again on the table full of food. She licked her lips, and despite her definite fullness felt a desire to eat again. She shouldn’t, of course; her whole body was telling her that; screeching at her to stop eating. But if she was going to work out like hell tomorrow… she supposed it wouldn’t hurt to expose herself to more delicious tastes now.
‘Pass me the potatoes, would you, Lux?’ Ahsoka asked. Eyes bulging, Lux nonetheless did as Ahsoka asked, now halfway between concerned and eager. There was no halfway with Ahsoka: she was all eagerness, lathering the baked potatoes in butter and seizing some steaming burgers as well.
She gobbled through it all, then took a slice each from each of the giant cakes. As she ploughed through the cheesecake, she realised that she really liked alternating between the different tastes on offer.
After finishing the earlier bowl of crisps, and eating a second steak, with twice as many mushrooms, Ahsoka had slowed down a lot. Her belly was stuffed to the brim with all the food she’d gorged herself on, pressing uncomfortably against her form-fitting shirt and tightening trousers. She leaned back, grunted, and pulled down the hem of her trousers. Lux stared in considerable pleasure at seeing a patch of her orange skin, however distorted with food, exposed.
This manoeuvre gave Ahsoka a second wind, although not for long. After consuming two more slices of the apple pie, three jam tarts and then a third string of sausages, Ahsoka was actually sweating with how much she’d eaten. Pangs as sharp as daggers ripped through her belly, so painfully stuffed was she. But she just couldn’t stop eating. She reached for another tart, and then it happened. She’d been keeping down her burps for fear of disgusting Lux, but now she couldn’t help it.
‘BRRRRRUUUUUURRRP!’ she exploded. ‘BRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRPP!’ She leaned back, and several more small gassy expulsions left her mouth. ‘Oh, Force… Braarp… sorry, Lux… Burrp…’
‘There’s no need to apologise,’ Lux said, not entirely sure how to feel.
‘Hey…’ Ahsoka said, an idea popping into her head. ‘You did say I was a – Brrurp – Senator’s wife now. I guess Senator’s wives get to eat what they like! Not like the – hic – Jedi!’ she pointed out.
A grin crept onto Lux’s face as his eyes met Ahsoka’s. Her eyes were sparkling with the joke, and Lux stood up, spreading his hands over the table.
‘Anything else you’d like, madam?’ he asked.
Ahsoka laughed, then exclaimed in pain as her gut roiled in protest. Despite the unpleasant feeling, she bit into the jam tart in her hand, moaning then because it was such a pleasant feeling. Still, she knew she was nearly beaten. Between bites of the tart, she looked over the table, and saw the cheese platter standing in an obscure corner. She nodded her head towards it. ‘A little cheese to finish off would be pretty nice,’ she suggested. She was starting to feel a bit sick now, but she just couldn’t help herself.
Lux brought her the cheese platter, but rather than having ‘a little’ of it, Ahsoka packed the entire platter into her mouth. It took over fifteen minutes, with how stuffed and slow she had become, but she ate every hard block, every soft circle, every runny triangle. Now grease, jam and runny cheese all stained her mouth, and crumbs of chocolate and flecks of meat decorated her shirt.
Once she’d swallowed the last gulpful of runny cheese, Ahsoka groaned in agony. Her stomach was so stuffed the impulses of pain felt like they were running up into her chest.
‘Ow… ow… ow…’ she cursed. Even so, she was still licking the inside of her mouth for remnants of food. ‘Oh, Force, I don’t think I can get up…’
‘Well, that’s what you have a husband for,’ Lux joked, and slipped his hands underneath Ahsoka’s arms. ‘One, two, three!’ he said, and Ahsoka pushed all her might into her legs to get her bloated upper body upright. She managed it, although she hissed in pain, and when she was standing her gut just felt even heavier, weighing down her skinny frame like a bag full of detonators.
‘Well, I guess it’s time we look at the last part of the flat,’ Ahsoka said. ‘The bedroom.’ She winced as Lux started to lead her out of the dining room and towards their bedroom.
It took quite a while for the pair to get there, and once her husband had lain her down on their exquisite double bed, Ahsoka peeled her shirt off, unveiling her bloated mound of a gut. Lux helped her off with her equally uncomfortable trousers, and then she curled up in a foetal position beneath the covers.
‘Sorry if I ruined your plans for tonight, Lux…’ she muttered as the food packed into her stomach made her start to drift off.
‘Ahsoka, I couldn’t have asked for a better night,’ Lux replied sincerely, stroking his wife’s sweaty face.
Ahsoka smiled despite her discomfort, then belched right into Lux’s hand. ‘Yeah…’ she muttered, not having the strength to apologise. ‘It was pretty great…’ And then she was asleep.
