Have you ever had a genre of game you've wanted to like but just couldn't get into it? For myself, it was fighting games, I was always put off by the combos and competitiveness but always loved the ideas of lore, characters and stages. I finally found the right one for me recently (Tekken 8) and was wondering if either of you have had a similar experience with any particular genre?

Do you consider yourself to be good at separating a game from what it COULD'VE been (in your opinion) to what it ACTUALLY is? Pretty much anyone can be "quilty" of focusing much more on how a game could be so much better (in their opinion) but that could blind them of the great things that ARE in the game.
