My Great Grandmothers Necklace
🕑 Added 2025-01-18 16:00:03 +0000 UTCThis is the first set that I've shot in my bedroom, and also another set that I shot on my Polaroid as well. What's really special to me about these photos is that I'm wearing my Great Grandmothers Amethyst necklace. I've loved it since I was a little girl. Right after I moved into my new place, my mother gave it to me (along with an old photograph of her) and I had been wanting to shoot with it. I never met my Great Grandmother, but I've always felt an incredibly strong bond with her. She left Hungary a few years before WW2, and I can only imagine what life was like for her. I know that she was an incredibly strong woman, and I feel that her strength has been present throughout my entire life. I'm honored to wear her necklace, and it's now one of my most precious physical possessions.
Shot with my Pentax LX/43mm on Kodak Gold 200

What a lovely comment. Thank you Stephen! It felt really special to wear the necklace, and I wanted to really showcase it. I really love the last 2 as well. Ty so much <3

I absolutely love the simplistic beauty of these shots. Highlighting yourself and the necklace in this intimate and serene setting is wonderful. The last two images are just begging to be framed and hung up in a gallery.
