We have differing opinions here. I would’ve thought until Benny’s discussion on what the mages used to do and Diur’s thoughts on a steel body. Steel body and human rune wizardry with power armor equals mage steel

Before Kon goes full bore on a Steel/Metal body, I think Kon should evaluate other options. Like Diur is going with Water for flexibility. Granted it would make life easier if he went with something easy. But Mage Steel makes me think of his armor than his body cultivation. And with Benny not wanting him to be a Brute I am thinking that Benny might have other suggestions. Cobalt is unique, magnetic naturally, blue in color, and has more zing than steel or metal. Plus the idea of Kon zipping his weapons because he is partially magnetic is also fun too

The Alice Side chapters will help flesh out more of the cultivator world. I'm now in a good spot in the story that I can drop her chapters more regular

Nice. Glad she’s deciding to do that. I’m over here counting “ok so Kon has body cultivation, rune web, power armor, and potentially runic wizard abilities… she has relatively land/rift world locked spiritual cultivator” especially since I doubt you’re gonna have Kon be stopped at E-Grade steel body even if that still a decent power upgrade compared to regular knights and I would take it. Also with how landlocked cultivators in this universe seem. Is there no stage where their core generates its own energy to be used? I know we haven’t delved into it too much. Do they lose progress spending energy as well? So far it seems that not only do they need to be around rift energy to cultivate/pushing their cultivation they also need it just to replace what they use so hopefully it doesn’t reset their progress and it’s at least easier to get back to optimal energy levels. Seems a pretty big hindrance to space fairing as well. I’m definitely team human so far. With the exception of body cultivation, if I was an early human I might’ve volunteered as tribute if I could be both when humanity was exploring cultivation because you know we did
