"Kaizen?"
Wendy's voice was tinged with surprise.
"Where are you, Kaizen? Did you come to the Kingdom of Fiora?"
"No, I'm at Heavens Arena."
"You didn't come?"
Wendy's expression subtly shifted to disappointment.
"Kaizen, when will you have time to come to Fiora? I'm so bored here. All I do is train every day."
She had just finished a training session.
Perched high above the ground, she swung her feet gently in the breeze, her long blue hair tied into twin ponytails fluttering with the wind.
Wendy was now an A-rank Nen user.
As the daughter of the Dragon Dojo, it made sense she'd awaken her aura before Kaizen. Reaching this level at her age wasn't unusual—after all, she was one of the top three young prodigies in the entire Fiora Kingdom.
The Kingdom of Fiora was much larger than Meteor City.
Back then, Dominica wasn't the Dragon Dojo's successor.
But Wendy had been chosen. Her potential was even greater than Dominica's.
After being named the Dragon's successor, everything changed for Wendy—and for the royal family around her.
Endless training.
Day after day. Year after year.
Her strength soared.
But so did the boredom.
Unlike the heirs of the other two dojos, Wendy came from hardship.
No—not just hardship. It had been bad. Really bad.
So now, after every intense training session, she found herself missing the old missions she used to do with Kaizen and Dominica.
Those memories were some of her happiest.
Even after Kaizen left Fiora, they kept in touch.
He would tell her stories.
And every time, she felt more and more envious.
...
"If I get the chance, I'll come to Fiora to visit. But the reason I called, Wendy... I need your help."
"Help with what?"
Kaizen replied, "I'm trying to start a comic platform. I need a secure location to host the servers and a reliable network to support them."
"And I need international recognition."
"Out of everyone I know, you might be the only one with the kind of connections I need."
The infrastructure part? That could be arranged.
But global recognition? That was another story.
Even if the platform launched under the Kakin Empire's name, it wouldn't get global approval.
Many countries would instantly blacklist it.
Only the V5 had that kind of sway.
"A comic platform?" Wendy repeated.
"Yeah."
"But Kaizen... why comics all of a sudden?"
She was genuinely confused.
Kaizen was a powerful Nen user. If he wanted to earn money, there were easier—and faster—ways to do it.
Assassination jobs paid well. Why shift to business?
"Because I care about it," Kaizen said simply. "I'm not doing this for profit. I want people to see the stories I publish. I want this platform to reach as many people as possible."
"And more importantly—Wendy, you said you're A-rank now?"
She nodded.
"Yeah."
"Did the elders at the Dragon Dojo tell you anything?"
"No."
"Well, some elders in my family told me... once you hit A-rank, you don't need to keep pushing forward with everything you've got. It's okay to slow down and experience life."
"That's the path I've decided to take," Kaizen said.
He hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to tell her the rest.
But after thinking it over, he decided not to hold back.
If they were staying within the Human World, it wouldn't matter much.
But when it came to the Dark Continent—he believed there was a real possibility they could work together. That it might benefit her, too.
Besides, there were S-rank Nen users in Fiora as well. If the United States of Saherta had one, Fiora must too.
But all of them were V5-level players.
"Experience life..." Wendy echoed, her expression pensive.
She sank into thought for a while.
Then looked back up.
"Thank you, Kaizen."
"No need for thanks. With everything we've been through, there's no need for formality. You'd have found out eventually."
"I don't know much about launching a comic platform... but I'll look into it."
"Appreciate it."
...
After hanging up, Wendy sprang into action.
She wasn't just anyone in the Kingdom of Fiora anymore.
Her power and status had risen to a remarkable level.
Now that she was A-rank, she ranked second in the Dragon Dojo—right below the dojo master.
The Dragon, Beast, and Star Dojos were second only to the king himself in the Fiora hierarchy.
Even the prince couldn't give orders to them.
...
"A comic platform?"
Wendy met with Dominica.
"Yeah, Dominica-san. Kaizen wants to start one. But he needs V5-level backing, and he asked for my help."
"Kaizen, huh..."
Dominica thought it over.
"That's not a hard request. We already have comic platforms in Fiora. We could just acquire one and rebrand it under the Dragon Dojo."
"No... better to register it directly under your name, Wendy."
At first, Dominica still saw her as the little girl she used to be.
But looking at her now, she realized—Wendy had grown up.
She could stand on her own.
"Alright. I'll find someone technical to meet with you directly."
Wendy nodded.
"Thanks, Dominica-san."
Dominica acted quickly.
Within days, the acquisition was complete.
Everything was ready to go.
They didn't even need to change the platform's name.
...
A middle-aged man was brought in to meet Wendy.
"Wendy, this is Harold."
"Nice to meet you, Miss Wendy."
Harold was older than her, but his posture was respectfully low.
He knew who she was.
"I'll be counting on you, Harold."
Wendy handed him the prepped computer she had set aside.
At the same time, she dialed Kaizen's number.
