Tales of Tomorrow: Frankenstein
🕑 Added 2024-02-05 22:00:05 +0000 UTCInspired by Philip J. Reed's book The Wolf Man, from DieDie Books, we had to check out this strange curiosity from the days of live television "playhouse"-style programs. This live adaptation of Frankenstein starring Lon Chaney Jr. near the end of his life has a bit of a reputation among genre fans.
Join us as we discuss this short film, it's reputation, and hopefully adequately honor a man who suffered a lot and still managed to give us monster kids so many brilliant performances.

That's really great. I love that you're getting more of his work out there, and that you're using it to help a good cause as well. What's the book, if you don't mind me asking?

His book really meant a lot to me, and even though I didn't know him personally, I know the world is a little less good without him in it. But I also know that he'll continue to have a positive impact on the world through his work. I find that really inspiring as well.

I am glad you hear you were inspired by Phil and one of his books. This episode sounds like it was quite interesting and fun to do. I'm sure Phil would have liked to listen to it if he were still here. Thank you for remembering him.
