This play is basically the ur-text of Frankenstein adaptations, coming out so early that it predates Mary Shelley's famed 1831 rerelease of the Frankenstein novel. In fact, we know from her letters and journals that Mary actually attended a performance of the play, and approved. Join us as we look at this economic adaptation that manages to incorporate more sub-plots and secondary characters than the average Frankenstein adaptation!
