Persona 4 Regression ULTIMAX! Part 17
🕑 Added 2023-06-03 16:53:12 +0000 UTCChie knelt, petrified into a stunned silence as she considered the ramifications of her discovery. Ms. Nami knew about the T.V. world, and even worse she’d brought it up so casually! Chie eyed the nursery teacher and a familiarity started to bloom in her mind, a recognition of the face she was seeing. The flowing silver hair and red eyes were so distinctive.
She tried her best to recall anyone who had these features. It would have to be someone she knew from the past who could want to see the investigation team this way. Her gaze narrowed, focusing on the woman changing Naoto’s messy diaper. She caught the vague hint of something from high school, something from the time after she got her persona.
With strong indignity running through her Chie stood, waddling her sore rump up toward the teacher standing at the changing table. She was doing everything she could to remember the identity of the woman standing at the changing table.
Ms. Nami looked over to see Chie standing off to the side observing her. The playful face that had been distracting Naoto throughout her change twisted into something slightly nasty before softening into indifference. “If you’ve already used your diaper again, Chie-chan, you’ll have to wait until I’m done with Nao-chan. I’ll consider changing you after that.”
Chie’s face scrunched as her annoyance with this woman increased, indignant that she would try and make her sit in a dirty diaper for any amount of time. However, it was really a non-issue because it wasn’t a change she needed—she wanted the truth.
“Mah diapaw is nah mess…” Chie said, blushing as she brought her knees together. Her thighs pressed into the padding to make sure it was dry. It was as far as she could tell. No telltale squish emanated from the padding, only a dry, plastic-backed crinkle.
“Whaht do ya know ‘bout a Tee-Vee?” Chie asked, realizing how tingly her tongue was feeling. “My words aren’t coming out like they should.”
Ms. Nami didn’t stop her disposal of Naoto’s diaper but a frown appeared on her face. “I know you girls shouldn’t be playing with it. It’s pretty dangerous there.”
Chie took another few steps forward, closing the gaps between her and the teacher. “Yoo thouldn kno ‘bout tha tee-Vee wawld…” Chie said, staggering as she approached the caretaker. The tingling spreading across her tongue was worsening, and she could recognize the distortion in her words clearly now.
Ms. Nami closed the last of Naoto’s diaper tapes shut, patting her freshly diapered crotch and earning a coo. She turned back to Chie. The woman’s smile remained but it seemed so much more malicious than she had seen in the brief hours she’d known her.
“Sorry Chie-chan, I’m afraid I can’t really understand you. I only heard something about the T.V. I’ll need you to speak a little clearer if you need something. Can you enunciate for Ms. Nami? Oh dear, is that too big a word. I suppose it might be too difficult for you right now.” Ms. Nami asked mockingly.
The condescension being thrown at Chie made her even angrier because of course she knew what it meant. She understood the woman perfectly, but heeding the woman’s “request” to speak clearer verbiage was becoming more difficult.
“Where do I—we know her from?” Chie wondered, her frustration growing more and more, “I know you know about the T.V. world! Were you there, and did we thwart you?”
The fragments in Chie’s memory weren’t coming together, instead remaining obstinately scattered, leaving her at a loss. She remembered everything about saving Nanako, stopping Adachi, and finding the murderer but something at the end was missing—the person who’s been responsible for it all.
Ms. Nami helped Naoto off of the changing table, passing by Chie as she did. The revelation hit the brunette like a truck when she saw the red eyes flash and the silver hair flutter. She remembered just who this caretaker was.
“You were the gas station attendant!” she tried to shout, “The one who turned out to be a goddess. You’re Izanami!” Unfortunately, Ms. Nami was as close as she could get without touching Chie and the buzzing of her tongue was nearly electric now, turning whatever words she was trying to get out into a completely unintelligible mess.
The goddess-turned-caretaker turned her head and smiled at Chie like she understood exactly what she had said but didn’t respond as she placed Naoto on the rug in front of the television. She clapped her hands, re-adopting that cheery tone, the one brought joy to her charges.
“Alright girls I think you’ve all had a very exciting day and maybe we need to calm down a little before it’s time to go home. Why don’t we watch a movie for the rest of the day? Would you all like that?”
“Movie!” Yukiko cheered.
Naoto didn’t say much but bounced excitedly on her freshly diapered rump, obviously sharing Yukiko’s excitement.
Rise, somehow the more mature of the group—Chie being excluded because she couldn’t vocalize her displeasure—lowered herself gracefully onto the ground and crossed her legs. “I’d love to watch a movie, Ms. Nami.” she said politely.
Chie fumed behind the group, shifting her numb tongue in her mouth. She wanted to shout no, to stomp around and throw another fit that might be able to break her friends free from whatever was regressing them, but the sting of her rump from the spanking she received not ten minutes before stopped her.
Seeing that there wasn't any benefit in acting out, Chie knelt down with the rest of the group, trying to keep pressure off her still sore rump. She turned her gaze away from Ms. Nami whose gaze was focused on Chie like a hawk.
“Chie-channn~,” Ms. Nami said with a drawn-out, teasing tone, “do you wanna watch a movie with everyone?”
. “Yeth...” Chie muttered angrily, her head hanging down.
“Good!” Ms. Nami exclaimed with a clap, pulling a VHS tape from the cart and popping it into the T.V.’s VCR. Twinkling music started to feed through the speakers of the T.V. and a static-filled screen faded to a swirling black spiral against a yellow background.
