In a semi-hidden desert temple Juniper and Magdalene tiptoed carefully across a sandstone floor, keeping a careful eye out for any possible traps they might encounter. Neither of them were ready to address the previous evening when they awoke so instead they followed the map to the location of the last gem.
They made quick work of getting to the temple, plodding through as sneakily and carefully as possible. The last encounter at the wizard's tower was a close call, one they’d rather avoid repeating if at all possible. Luckily for them it seemed this stop was so far destined to be their easiest one. The gem they were searching for was just sitting on an altar in the middle of the room, ripe for the taking.
Maggie swiped the crystal, ready to run in the event that some sort of trap was triggered by the lack of weight on the altar. However, the temple remained still and the room was quiet.
With careful steps and a keen eye for booby traps both diapered women looked like they might escape with the gem in hand without raising a single alarm… until the door they'd used to enter closed in their faces, leaving only an unknown route available with the hope that it'd lead outside.
To their left, a room shrouded in darkness awaited, only a small pathway extending in front of them. It was barely enough room for either of them to walk, especially Maggie with her massive pamp. The path itself was surrounded by an impenetrable darkness, something that looked so unnatural that they each figured touching it would be a bad idea. The dark spaces all around the path were also filled with snoring noises.
----------------------------------------------------
Just like every other room, Juniper stepped with extreme caution. It took an astounding effort to keep the sway of her hips to a minimum so that her thighs wouldn’t elicit any loud crinkles from her diaper. Magdalene followed behind, using her own magic to keep the padding around her waist still.
The short scientist made it about halfway into the room, using careful steps to navigate to the other side, when a low gurgle in her stomach stopped her.
*grrrrrmmmmmllll*
Juniper froze, struggling with the bubbling sensation in her bowels. “Oh no…” she thought, throwing her hands up to her upset stomach, “Not now please.” She racked her mind for some sort of solution, hoping to hinder the explosive noise about to be released. Unfortunately, it was happening faster than she could think.
*BBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPP*
Despite her mental protests, her body wasn't listening and she cut the most ridiculously loud, diaper-shaking, cheek-quaking fart. It was loud enough to overtake the combined snoring of whatever existed beyond the darkness in the room and put a stop to it, leaving the pair to stand in silence for a long moment. Juniper trembled slightly, her cheeks burning with embarrassment. "So close." she groaned to herself.
Hidden torches in the room flared to life all around them, burning away the supernatural darkness and lighting the room. The sudden illumination revealed where the bestial noises had come from. Dozens of humanoids covered in fur had been sleeping around them, but now that they’d been awakened their long, scraggly ears perked up and their snouts went from a peaceful confusion to a menacing snarl. They rose to a height close to Magdalene’s, standing on powerful haunches tipped with black claws.
Juniper's embarrassment because of her sudden flatulence only amplified when she eyed the multiple dangers around her. She rubbed the back of her head. “Apologies!” she called, “I didn’t mean to wake you up!
The pack of beast men seemed less than amused approaching the pair with more like meat than people.
“I don’t think the Jackleweres care that you made noise.” Maggie warned, “They’re mad we’re on their territory. We need to go.”
“I think you’re right, Mags. Let’s bail!”
Juniper took off running, with Maggie following close behind. Without the lit pathway it was easier to move, no longer contained to a small, one-floor-tile length pathway. The redhead couldn't help but notice that once again they were running from another creature. The only difference between now and four days ago was that the dusty dog men looked appetizing, giving her an advantage.
Two of the beastly Jackleweres jumped in front of her, attempting to block her and Maggie's path of escape. The short stack professor jumped, extending her tongue and pulling them into her maw with a quick gulp, clearing the way for her long-legged assistant.
Her stomach bulged with the weight of the creatures, jiggling slightly. Working as fast as she could, Juniper focused on her stomach rune, hoping to activate it and alleviate herself of the extra weight she’d just consumed.
It didn’t work.
For whatever reason the magic that sped her digestion up wasn’t activating like she wanted it to, leaving her with a massively swollen belly to contend with. Juniper turned her head to call out for Maggie’s help, figuring that if she was to have any chance of escape it would be with her magic. The only other choice was to sit and wait for her stomach to shrink on its own but doing that with a dozen Jackleweres seemed less than optimal.
Turning towards Mags only revealed a crowd of the Jackleweres nipping at her heels, meaning she was just as in need of help as Juniper was. With all her strength the redhead threw the weight of her stomach around, telling Maggie to duck right at the last second.
Her swollen tummy gained quick momentum, crashing into several of the creatures and forcing them back. Her next move was to order Maggie to pick her up but her assistant seemed to have already gotten the memo, scooping Juniper right at the end of her stomach swing and rushing towards the exit to the chamber.
The blonde's determination to escape was single minded, her eyes locked forward in a way that was almost terrifying. Juniper wasn’t even sure how to feel as her assistant dodged spike traps, blow darts, and falling rocks all while being chased by the temple’s guardians.
Only when they broke through to the burning sun of the desert did she stop and that was after triggering a trap that filled in the entrance to the building so nothing could follow them.
Once clear Maggie collapsed onto her diaper, using it as a makeshift chair just as she’d done at the queen’s tea party, heavy breaths causing her body to move up and down.
Juniper slipped from her grip, walking across the sand and examining their surroundings. “Well!” she said, her usual chipper manner attempting to lighten the mood, “I’d say that was our closest call yet, but we still made it out with the gem. Nothing like a job well done!”
Maggie didn’t answer, just kept taking deep breaths next to Juniper. The redhead got closer, examining her assistant quizzically. “Are you okay?” she asked carefully. Concern permeated her voice, an actual emotion not masked by relentless optimism.
Maggie rushed forward, dropping her knees into the sand and flinging her arms around Juniper in a surprise hug. She used her long reach to pull her into a tight embrace, smushing her face into her chest while she rocked back and forth.
“Are you okay!?” Maggie wailed, “I was so worried and when your belly didn’t shrink at all and those jackals were so close I was afraid they were going to get you!”
Juniper laughed. “How could they have gotten me silly?” she asked, “You picked me up and ran like a bat out of hell. They couldn’t even keep up. Why worry so much, we would have made it out fine no matter what!”
----------------------------------------------------
Maggie separated from Juniper just enough to look her in the eye, building up gradual courage to say the thing that was a thousand times scarier than anything they’d seen on this journey. Rather than saying the words she pressed her lips to Juniper’s, locking the pair in a passionate kiss.
Relief flooded her when she felt Juniper pucker her lips and push back, returning the love she’d received from Maggie kiss for kiss. When their lips finally separated, Magdalene felt unable to contain her feelings any longer, letting them pour over Juniper in a torrential rush.
She told the scientist she loved her, that every moment she got with her felt like a gift that would never stop giving. Every day she got to wake up and change her diapers was a joy, caring for her needs made Maggie feel important. She loved being able to learn from someone so passionate and further amazing research with someone so cheerful.
Her cheeks were burning by the end and she was nearly out of breath, but she couldn't stop. There was one more thing she felt she had to say.
“Being eaten by you was the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced and If I could be your every meal I would. I know you can’t but more than anything I’d love to be digested by you, feeling your stomach contract around me would be a dream.”
----------------------------------------------------
Juniper only knew one thing for sure. She loved Magdalene just as much as Magdalene loved her. Other than that she wasn’t sure what to say. The outpouring of emotion from Maggie had been unexpected and while she was normally exceptionally good at making sense of data this was more than her mind could process.
She stuttered and blushed, losing her normal confidence and bravado in the face of such bold-faced honesty. “I-I love you too Mags” she stuttered, letting her know that she too felt the burning feeling of passion and contentment that came from a romantic partner. Rather than saying anything else Juniper chose to go back in for a kiss. The physicality of the action seemed much easier than actually vocalizing her feelings.
She pulled away when the correct words finally formed on her tongue, a declaration that might at least equal Maggie’s announcement that she wanted to be consumed by Juniper. “Were I to eat you it would be a fleeting joy. I’d rather taste and enjoy you every day as both a snack and a partner.”
This time it was Maggie who went in for the kiss, seemingly agreeing with what Juniper had said. “If it’s what you wish,” she said.
For a long time, both of them sat in the sand, enjoying the embrace of one another before finally getting up. Their love for each other was a wonderful thing but they still had a job to do, and the desert altar that would teleport them to the August Isle was only a few hours away.
They arrived just before nightfall, making camp next to the three stone monoliths that composed the altar. Their trip into the unknown could at least wait until the morning.
That night diaper changes were had and laughter was shared by the fire between the pair. Hours later, when the flames dimmed to embers and the cold desert night wore on, the pleasant conversation turned to moans and groans.
Juniper once again pulled Maggie into her gullet but the reluctance to enjoy it with the full scope of their lust unchained dissipated. The pair allowed themselves to relax and enjoy the sexual feelings that came with the activity, bringing a much-needed wave of relief before the final leg of their journey.
