Unlisted Videos
🕑 Added 2020-12-14 07:52:47 +0000 UTCI've unlisted my variety video on things that might be anime. The Video's Been Unlisted Because It Contained too many errors, & I'm just generally not happy with how it came out. Full reasons of mistakes
1: Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia, not a dictionary.
2: Go Bots Came out BEFORE transformers, so even though I thought it was a ripoff as a kid it's not.
3: Nutcracker fantasy DOES have a myanimelist page for some reason. Don't ask me why, none of the Rankin bass stop motion movies do.
4: 5:00 was causing some confusion, there's a difference between Moomins (1969), and Delightful moomin family (1990). The first never left japan, but the sequel series did. I assumed people knew the difference between the shows, but should have put some release date text up there to be clear about it.
5: My joke about Double Zeta made me look like an idiot, I thought that was very clearly a joke, but I guess I should have called it double not an anime or something.
6: 8:40 While thunderbolt fantasy Is a Japanese Chinese Co production, calling it a "japanese show" is kinda non specific, even if it's technically true.
7: 8:55 Line should have been "it's not DRAWN enough to be an anime". Puppetry is definitely a type of animation, I meant to say it's just not a drawing.
8: 11:36 (nitpick) The guy who funded the Izenborg Documentary wasn't royalty, he was an insanely rich super fan.
9: Purple eyes isn't nearly as unheard of as I first thought, so it kinda makes me sound like a snob to say even the most hardcore anime fans haven't heard of it.

Oh, you deserve the Patreon money for “Release the Bees” alone, not to mention all other funny out of context compilations and the great reviews. As for Identifying Anime... I appreciate your dedication for truth and accuracy but you’re too hard on yourself. Make a corrected and updated version if you must. It’s still a thought provoking topic and I enjoyed your take on it. But for now, just point me in the direction of that live-action-and-puppets “What’s Michael?” and I’ll be on my way.
you could have just asked me, you didn't need to become a patron just to see it. But yeah, I just wasn't happy with how it turned out. Also found an example of an anime made by FOUR countries so I could throw that in there if I ever decide to redo it.
Man, I just subscribed to your Patreon just in the hopes that I’d find your “identifying anime” video. And indeed, you did not disappoint! As I suspected , you’d flipped it to unlisted. Thank you, you’re doing a great job.
I thought it was a solid episode. It's really hard to compress such a broad topic and it was a worthy attempt.
Try not to beat yourself up, man. Plenty of us will still watch everything you put out and love it!
I tried, but it just didn't come out the way I wanted. 2 or 3 mistakes is fine, but when you get notifications for weeks on end about 10 you start to realize you messed up. I can't say I didn't expect it, making a video about so many subjects is bound to be rough.
We all make mistakes, buddy. Imo, it's more important to learn from the mistake than to never make it.
