this is tougher than it seems haha. It was difficult to not instinctively go into a sweep or economy picking and alternate picking this is a nightmare at high bpm

Bernth, I got stuck at 100 bpm, seems it cant get any faster. Any suggestion on how to approach this plateau?

Just got a new PRS and the action and neck are so much different than I’m used to. I even had to switch picks from Jazz 3’s to Flow’s. Anyways, this exercise is in my new practice routine to help get used to it.

Mostly dotted eighth notes so that the notes don't overlap :) But around 800ms is a good length in case you can't dial it in in sync, that's true!

Would you discuss the timings you use for your delay? Sounds good and really compliments your lead playing. It sounds like it’s at or around 800ms or maybe even longer in some of the cuts. Thanks!

Bernth. Could you please provide us with the backing tracks, minus the lead guitar? The video play throughs are cool to watch, with regards to finger positions etc, but the attached .wav "backing tracks" are not split into lead and backing :( The feeling of playing along to one of your great backing tracks can only really be done when there isn't the lead guitar already playing with it.

Something that could be helpful. Within Guitar Pro could you provide a second track with the chords? I'm trying to do it on my own but the learning curve to figure out how to do it is a bit challenging at the moment. After using Guitar Pro for a bunch of years now, I'm just now tapping into composing. Cheers!

I practiced different 1nps arpeggios before an i am up to 160bpm triplets. This exercise is awesome and i will try it out because its fun to work with your backing tracks!

Hi Bernth, can you comment on how long you keep an exercise in your practice routine? For example, it looks like you have practiced #104 for months and months, and you said in this video you'll be practicing this exercise for months. Is that typical? Do you recommend we work on the same set of exercises for weeks and weeks until they're mastered? My initial guess is that progress will eventually "peak" and slow down, and that it would be worthwhile to work on something else. But, maybe that's not the case...

Im currently working on issues with lifting the pick out of the strings and dropping back down when going from high to to low E direction. My hand has a mind of its own.

120 bpm looks frightning. I believe Steve Morse plays his arpeggios that way only and doesn't sweep
