I hope the video 'Why You Make No Guitar Progress' cleared a lot of things up but I felt the need to record another one :) Here we discuss 6 little tricks that might improve your routine and overall progress!
I can only speak for what works for me, the one-hour routine (aside from all the recording and practicing specific material like songs) is really awesome and I love working on it every day. But there are a couple of additional tricks I would like to share. Most of them are very easy to implement in your workout routine but the results will really stack up over time (remember the compound effect we talked about!).

Thanks a lot for sharing that Arjan - that's some really great input :) I also have my 'Practice' session in Cubase with all tools that I load up every day! Same goes with video recording for me, in the beginning I had to set up all cameras and position them - it makes a huge difference to have everything ready and positioned to start working every day. That setup time can really mess with you, great that you mentioned that here!

Great advice Bernth! I've been doing all of the above for a short while now and the progress is amazing. I also find the following very helpful: Make sure that your rig is ready to go. If you have to set up everything before your practice routine, there's another barrier (and excuse not to practice). When tracking your sessions, I find it helpful to have a Cubase pre-set session ready, so you can get started right away. Instead of an extra long weekend session (which we all do), I like to take some time and look back on the last week and make a plan for the next week. This helps a lot in moving forward and not falling back to the same exersices. All of this may sound over-organised, but I find it really helpful to get these things done and esspecially not having to think about them at 4 am
