#82 - Shred Exercise For Extreme Picking Progress
🕑 Added 2020-05-13 14:00:04 +0000 UTCIn the first lesson for this week, we check out a killer speed picking exercise! This one helps with hand synchronization and creative lick writing and is the foundation for the fast shred lick I posted on Monday :)
By working with different groups in the lick, we get a really interesting result concerning the phrasing - the ears of the listener can't really predict where the lick is going in the beginning and we are slowly moving away from the 'standard' repetitive shred phrases. This one is a bit difficult so I recommend checking out each group separately before you move on to playing the full lick!
On Friday, we will check out another amazing left-hand workout since this was the most requested topic for this month, really looking forward to sharing that with you!

Thanks for the quick reply Bernth. How about thickness? Sometimes I use .53mm and feel I can go faster. Which one do you use? Thanks again. You are a beast man... I am enjoying your videos so much!!

Great question Ricardo! Anything Jazz III works for me, right now I use the Dunlop Nylon Max Grip Jazz III Carbon models :)

Hey, just a quick question: What kind of pick do you recommend? Which ones do you use?

Thanks for letting me know Gary! It's very important for me that it works correctly on all devices since those files make it much easier to work on the exercises. Happy you liked that one!

I was able to download from the links as well. More really good content by the way.

Hey Dean, thanks a lot for letting me know! I just checked it on all devices (PC, phone, tablet) and it works from our end - let me know if I should contact the Patreon support about that, maybe it was just a momentary glitch :)
