#84 - Best Ear Training For Rock & Metal Guitar
🕑 Added 2020-05-20 14:01:00 +0000 UTCLet's take a quick break from the shredding and focus on some music theory today - this is another highly requested topic from this month's lesson wishlist, happy to see that you guys voted for that one!
Today we start with ear training and discuss the benefits of developing your ear. I show you how to get started and also uploaded some special ear training backing tracks for the community! I recommend having them on your phone in a shuffle playlist. You can listen to the separate intervals (harmonically - ascending - descending) in the car, on the bus, in the subway - whenever you have some free time! Most ear training apps work with a piano sound and that's great - but you also have to be able to identify them with a guitar sound.
I think this is a great and really important topic, let me know if we should dive deeper (hearing cadences and more) in the next lesson voting :)

This is helpful. I picked up the Beato ear training course. This will definitely add to that experience.
