So sorry about your laptop crash. All those familiar with them can sympathize with the frustration. Also refreshing was to hear your exclamation of frustration at hitting the wall on that one run. Believe me when I say, there are many of those from my mouth as I try to attain a fraction of your Meta-human skill level. It depends on what level you're going for here. Mac does tend to have a bit better hardware latency for audio, but that's about it outside of some exclusive software. That said, if you're getting one of the new M1 Mac Minis for ~$700-800, it's a pretty decent deal. It doesn't make sense to go overboard and buy a $25,000 Mac Pro setup to record 4-5 tracks and do a bit of mastering. I think there a bunch of other questions to answer instead of the age old Mac vs Windows: What form factor do you want (desktop vs laptop)? Do you need expansion card support? What type of audio interface are you using? A direct USB Mic? A cheaper 1/4" DAC? A dedicated desktop audio interface that costs $800? Then there's the preference questions: What software do you prefer? Does Logic have some killer feature you can't find elsewhere that you absolutely need? If you're doing entry-level recording and mastering and have anything that was made in the past 5 years that has an i5 + 16GB of RAM or better (I'd say probably in this order: Better CPU > Faster RAM > More RAM), you're probably fine.

My other bandmates all are using macbooks and logic. Many people don't rely on windows pcs and cubase for being an unstable system. I use a laptop and cubase myself due to financial reasons and have not had any problems. Community what are your thoughts on that? Is an apple system really worth the money?

Well... I do need A LOT of more takes recording my stuff quite often when playing way easier stuff and... well... not quite as fast :P But I feel you... crashing Soft or Hardware and forgotten to save... yea... sometimes happend to in my past... (although I try to save the project every time, I do something on cubase xD) Anyhow... I know you are saying everyone can achieve such skills like yours but I honestly doubt that for not just a few people out there myself included. I can never hope of reach this level at any time while struggeling so much with alone getting live performances right without too many (small) mistakes. Even though I am very dedicated at practicing since about a half year right now (big thanks for motivation goes for you here) but the truth is... I saw some guitar players rising to my current level and above in about just a year of playing. (Im playing for around ... 14 years now?) Guess talent helps... a lot. Still... makes me happy and a little sad to see and HEAR such videos :P
