The envelope was addressed to their branch office, in neat blue ballpoint handwriting, but had no recipient. Usually all public mail would end up at the headquarter, so he only had directly addressed mails, newspapers, and junk mail to deal with. There was something rattling around inside the envelope, bigger than a bullet, but not much.
He opened the mail, he was their mail boy after all, and perhaps there was a note inside telling who the intended recipient was. The only thing he found inside however was an empty clear plastic vial with screw cap. Like those you would use for urine samples, but smaller. Neatly written on the side of the vial the same handwriting read "to whom it will concern" in black sharpie.
He doesn't know why he did it, there really wasn't a reason, but he twisted the cap open. There was a short hiss, like when opening a fizzy drink, and the smell of gasoline.
The changes began immediately. He could see his arms inflating in real-time, see the veins popping out, and feel his jeans getting tighter. In scared confusion he realized he had to get the jeans down or it would be painful and almost impossible without a knife. His first thought was how easy it would be to carry out all the mail, and instantly he felt sheepish that his thoughts were about work. He couldn't even get his pants back up.
