It felt like a huge blow to him back when he woke up in his little stepbrother's body. He had aged out of foster care and had nowhere specific to go. With no one telling him "no" anymore his plan was to drive cross country and see where he could get a job. The morning he was about to leave he instead woke up with a splitting headache, staring at a Minecraft poster. It took him just seconds to recognize he was in Aaron's room, in his bed, and a few more seconds to realize he was in Aaron's body. It took a few more minutes to really accept that it wasn't just a dream. Then he hastily dressed himself and rushed over to his own room. A lot of stuff was missing, but most of it remained. He rushed downstairs and found "mum" in the kitchen. She looked up and her face turned disappointed. "He already left, without saying goodbye. I didn't expect that from him."
But that was a year ago. The first few months were difficult, but he realized he was able to ace all but the most boring subjects. He had so much time over for other stuff, like going to the gym. The results he got from working out were amazing. He really shouldn't be surprised he realized. With the body naturally saturated in hormones while going through puberty it was a perfect time to build a foundation. He already knew how. He was going to be so much better this time around.
