Neighbor Watch

I didn't know if my neighbor was going out or had just come back as I found him stretching in the hallway. He must have had the airpods on pretty loud because he didn't notice my noisy exit from my apartment. Something about the whole scene made me freeze in place, just watching his limbs slowly extending and contracting, the muscles tensioning and relaxing. He was athletic in that casually lean way that could make you think he just ate right, if you saw him with clothes on, but seeing his back without a shirt on he for sure lifted, and that butt didn't come for free. It was somehow impossible to not look at his ass where he was standing. The afternoon sun reflected in the building across the street created a cold, soft light on the smooth fabric that hugged his ass, particularly when he lifted his legs. I was overcome by a sudden compulsion to touch them, to feel him up. There was a warning bell ringing at the back of my head that such a body probably could throw a pretty accurate nighty-night punch, but it was just too inviting somehow. I took the two steps needed to get just behind him, but instead of just grabbing his ass I let my hand follow the curvature of his ass, down into the crack, and stay there for what felt like an eternity. It was like time had almost stopped. I could feel his warmth on both sides of my hand, as well as radiating from his body. It must be post jog stretching after all. In slow motion, to my mind, his head turned, followed by his torso. I moved my gaze up, from his shiny blue cheeks, across the tattoo on his back and shoulder, to his face. He wasn't wearing any airpods. "I thought you'd never ask," he said and broke out in a mischievous smile.
