Sally's Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas
🕑 Added 2024-10-17 00:37:53 +0000 UTCHello all! This will be going live tomorrow on Youtube as my video for the month of October. This song was such a fun one to cover—Danny Elfman has always been a hero of mine. I extended the original a little bit with an instrumental verse since it's really quite short without it.
My next move is to start on my cover of a Chappell Roan song. I'm always hesitant to share what I'm attempting next in case it doesn't work out, but for transparency's sake, I will be tackling Pink Pony Club! I'm a good way through the lyrics and there's lots of meat on that bone to work with, but the instrumental is a bit intimidating. Stay tuned!
Aside from that, I would love to provide another ambient fantasy piece for you all soon. I've had some requests for a tavern vibe, but if you have any specific desires please let me know in the comments.
Wishing you all the very best!

Very well sung, bravo! This makes me think: maybe you could do a project with VoicePlay? You have a lot in common: fun, creativity and good singing. :-)

Thank you! I do, and in this case I altered some existing art by painting over it. I'm an illustrator in my other life. :)

Hahaha I hope the best is actually around the bend, but thank you!

Brings back fond memories of time spent watching movies on the couch with my little girl.

How about a cover of Wardruna's Solringen? Beautiful ambience. The nordic lyrics are the same four lines repeated over and over which adds to the trance like atmosphere of the song.

Thank you! 😊❤️

I get a bit tired of the generic Halloween "spooky stuff" but I always have a soft spot for Nightmare Before Christmas... love it! The lyrics card "The worst is just around the bend" is now my new laptop wallpaper :)

What a beautiful rendition. It’s been a tough week, and this really touched my heart. Thank you 💓

Well this was just a treat. One of my all-time favorite soundtracks and your vocals in the instrumental bit are exquisitely ethereal. Also, do you do your own art? Because the drawing for this one is fantastic.
