The Devouring Menace - 043: I'm the Bad Guy!
🕑 Added 2024-02-04 14:24:14 +0000 UTC‘I thought you died, comrade Shino. What kind of fate armor did you put on to deceive everyone of your survival?’ If I was still a human, then my expression would definitely have been worthy of Steve Carell’s attention.
Not like he would have noticed my Korean broke ass.
Back to the current situation, I was honestly super surprised by the sudden emergence of Godzilla's short-term arch-nemesis.
You might be wondering why I said short-term, right? Well, it’s because comrade Shino had the worst and unexciting end.
It was the rarest enemy that Godzilla didn't defeat by his own might.
Despite its terrifying potential, Shino got pitifully done in by a nuclear warhead.
That was kind of a shame to all the oh-so-mighty titans.
It was damn shameful.
How will you feel as a fan when you get hyped about a certain character introduced in your favorite or ongoing series only for them to be discarded into oblivion very quickly?
Gojo Satoru got the short end of the stick from Gege’s genius and sadistic creativity. Gojo Satoru thought he’d win but Gege thought otherwise with his own version of “Nah, I’d make you lose.”
The community didn't take well to Gojo’s Death to Fraudkuna but Gojo’s end had already been established that was unless the writer decided that Gojo had yet to achieve his full enlightenment as JJK’s Buddha.
Throughout heaven and earth, I am the only one that got cut in half. Pfft.
Shinomura’s situation was kind of similar to Gojo Satoru’s but more favorable.
There is a saying that goes by, “When the cat's away, the mice will play.”
Shinomura probably decided that its arc was nigh and since Godzilla was no longer home, possibly kicked out due to unknown reasons, then it would take his home as its new turf.
There was free electricity, uh, radiation to last a lifetime of its existence and after training under such a godsent environment for centuries or even decades, then it would be the time that the world will be forced to remember its existence.
That's what I thought in the little time that I was checking out the behemoth that was also startled by my presence.
Shinomura was a big boy or girl, or whatever gender it identified as.
It was smaller than me so its actual height didn't matter much.
It looked like a combination of an insect and something like those hateful bastards in subphylum Myriapoda. Yeah, yeah, I dreaded centipedes when I had been a mere human.
Its blue-segmented body looked like that of a centipede while its flexible tail resembled the scorpion’s sweet stinger.
On both sides of its upper body, it had massive wings that proved capable of totally engulfing the skull island’s little princess in a deathly hug.
“Hello Ho-Shino, I don't remember issuing invitation cards to my humble abode.” I snarled a kind warning, after all, I am not the bad guy.
Shinomura screeched in disdain and ferocity.
It seems it didn't want to listen to reason.
Shinomura was an instinctual being, borderline reasonless and animalistic.
Each one of its individual cells could regrow a new Shinomura. They were one but many like a hivemind system.
It reminded me of Destroyah but Destroyah was more of a menace than Shinomura.
If there was something that life has taught me then it would be patience. Yes, patience toward thy enemy, haha.
The sarcasm is boundless there.
‘Shino has some good abilities that are worth predating over.’ I unknowingly licked my lips. Wow, I felt like I had become one with Loyd Frontera, the master of all nasty facial expressions.
A good guy would never look at something or somebody like that.
I guess my vile evil thoughts even made Shinomura’s survival instincts tingle for a second as it looked at me warily through its three pairs of glowing white eyes.
Fuck, I didn't want to scare it to run away. Better make myself more defenseless and look like a lazy pushover.
Deep inside my heart, I knew I could never give off pushover vibes as my size was quite intimidating compared to your average titan.
SKRKKK!
Shinomura screeched threateningly as it prepared itself for a lightning-quick attack.
I was basically the only thing standing between it and the new, radiation-rich home with no rent.
I needed to be eliminated.
That’s how simple it was to read Shinomura's collective consciousness.
WHOOSH!
Shinomura moved so fast with the intention of first immobilizing me via its prehensile tail.
[Monomolecular Plasma Claws], I thought as I casually lifted my paw, an action that was so fast that the moving Shinomura didn't get a chance to react accordingly.
As if I was clawing an ‘X’ in the air, I instantaneously cut off the two wings on Shinomura.
SKRKKK!
It screamed in extreme pain and before it could fully experience the sensation, I grabbed its tail and bonked it hard on the floor.
BOOM!
A huge explosion reverberated all over the pocket space as Shinomura’s huge body made a big ass crater.
SKRKKK!
I could feel its agitation, surprise, fear, terror, and confusion.
Shinomura's very foundation - its cells - were shaking in response to my terrific display of dominating strength.
It instinctively knew that it had become prey and I was the ultimate predator.
It was powerless against me, a being that couldn't be explained.
“Sigh, I told you so, Shino. There is always a price to pay for bothering me. As a good guy, I had tried to give you a warning but you eventually ignored it.” I nonchalantly spoke as I enjoyed the weak struggles made by Shinomura against my tight grip.
Shinomura looked at me with that ‘gaze’.
It wanted me to spare it by acting cute and pitiful. Even its screeches were no longer high-pitched.
“I am sorry but I am not into androgynous or asexual entities. Another issue is that you look so ugly that I am not even tempted to be adventurous in the natural sense.”
SKRKKK!
Shinomura violently wiggled under my grasp seeing that I was hellbent on doing something very bad to it.
I opened my mouth widely, an action that sent cold shivers down Shinomura's spine.
Well, it didn't have one.
I slowly began to chew on that thick flesh and well, Shinomura's taste was pure shit but I persevered until there were no leftovers.

[Size Manipulation]
You can alter your size to anything below your current size. You can only grow smaller but not bigger.
You can also alter your size into whatever form of your choosing.
Physical Strength will remain constant throughout the transformation!
***
[Cell Division]
Just like how cells undergo mitosis, you can be able to separate yourself into another being that looks like you.
Cloning or duplication may fall in line with your understanding.
All clones are connected through a hivemind system.

“I have struck gold after free food was served on my plate.” I chuckled lightly after reading through the descriptions of my newly gained abilities.
Not wanting to waste any time, I immediately used [Size Manipulation] to grow smaller until I was the same size as the dog kaijus from Pacific Rim “The Black”.
I then used my claws to carve out a circular wheel from a rock before trying to play catch with myself.
Woof!
So embarrassing!
