Yep, I've read about this too. Before caffeine, Europeans drank alcohol all day (tainted water was always a problem) so once coffee came along it changed society. (It would probably be less revolutionary in Innworld since they have stamina potions, but since most people can't afford them daily, introducing coffee would still have a dramatic effect.) I don’t know if you know this, but apparently coffee has had a massive impact on a number of technological and intellectual revolutions in the last 500-1000 years. Pretty interesting stuff to learn about, if it were for coffee we may still be stuck a few hundred years in the past.
