He is a dragon. Like Niers told his students many chapters ago that his unknown opponent could not be a dragon because a dragon would not experiment but only focus on winning the first round of games to assert their dominance. So totally fitting. :-)

Not a huge thing, but there's some places where "Teriarch" is referenced but the person thinking would have know him as Eldavin. When Lyonette allows the meeting of Druids one of the reasons was that "Teriarch approved". After the chess match, multiple PoV characters are thinking of him as "Teriarch".

Remeber, he went into this with this kind of attitude: 'His tone suggested that winning a game or two might be enjoyable. No hint that he would ever lose.' Even a draw would be hard to take with that kind of attitude. He thought of winning as natural and losing as impossible. Like a pro playing only amateurs. 2-1? 20-0 would be 'just as expected' for him.

Erin is going to need a dedicated clerk to take care of the door's traffic at this rate. Lots of people and objects coming and going with a distinct possibility of hitting an mana limit in times of high volume. It would definitely take some of the strain off the regular staff.

No that’s Fierre. Ferris was just introduced this chapter as a coachman of the company that sells tours of Walled Cities. Totally not a secret agent from Manus or anything.

I myself think that they lost huge part of what they were at the sea. I mean culture stored in individuals and older queens. So rediscovering is more precise term I would say.

Teri and Erin playing chess had me giddy. You just know he won’t stop until he completely destroys her in the game, which won’t happen. Also Magnolia pulled one move on Erin. In return, Erin destroyed her momentum with the Antinium plan. About to demolish her trade deal plan to pressure the nobles. Teri likes the inn more than the mansion. Mag’s servants are working at the inn to entertain Teri. She also has to attend a party for Erin’s friend. I’m not sure there’s enough sugar in the world to help her overcome the Erin slaughter.
