You are right and I will absolutely keep supporting the Wandering Inn. But support doesn't just mean giving money; it also means giving honest feedback about what I appreciate (like the new merch launch with a blog post, AMA tie-in and excited personal endorsement) and what I don't like (like these banner ads or stories on Yonder). It's up to Pirate to decide what to do with that feedback. I'll support them whatever they decide and I'll keep telling them what excites me and what doesn't along the way.

How does it explain why enslaving a goblin is a bad idea? I had some ideas as to why that would be the case before and I didn't gain anything more this chapter on that. What did I miss?

Welp now we know a big piece of the puzzle. This explains why enslaving a goblin is a bad idea. It also half disproves my theory about the hodgepodge nature of Innworld. Also that Titan is in the system which means it’s a relatively fair fight. Ahhh so much lore and I can’t discuss it on Reddit until next week!

The folks who can read all this content for free in a week can probably tolerate one ad per thirty thousand words to give Pirate a chance at actually earning a living. Those of us on Patreon are getting a full length novel or more every month at about half Amazon's price. If one ad helps make that happen so be it.

Just an FYI that the new banner between the title and the start of the chapter (asking me to buy merch, enter a lottery for free Hell's Wardens and become a patreon), feels rather cheap and intrusive. EDIT: We've always been kept informed of new merchandise and books and that's great! But through it all, when we're reading a chapter, it's Pirate talking to us about things they are personally excited about, things that are relevant right now, or specific ways we can help them out. That personal touch - rather than the kind of intrusive impersonal banner ad that you get on any generic website - is one of the selling points of the Wandering Inn; I'm afraid this immersion-breaking approach might actually loose Pirate money in the long run.
