10.37 GDI Chapter Delay -- April 5th for Posting
🕑 Added 2025-03-27 22:58:57 +0000 UTCWe hit…60,000 words over the course of two writing days, so I am calling it. I need one last week off to edit this. I had known I’d write a lot in the epilogue, so I went in hard on the two days I had. I think I cooked with what I had. Certainly feedback is good.
However, I want it to be more good, everywhere. My notes (I have very specific notes from my beta-reader, these are my internal thoughts), are ‘hit everything and make it 2X better at least’. I don’t know if I can do it, but a week gives me time to add in more levels, more scenes, and finish this arc.
This will be the first arc that took all the time I thought it wanted--well, almost all--and I thank you for your forbearance. It also, frankly, helps because I have family visiting, and the next four days will take up more time to be with them, so it would have hurt my editing time anyways.
One last delay…then I can delete the notes document made specifically for this arc, and archive all the data in my head. Though I’ve never defragmented my mind. It could probably use it. Thanks, and wish me luck.

I was just thinking about how much I love this story. I have no idea how long I've been reading it for, but I have old chapter passwords saved with the oldest being September 16, 2018 so at the least it's been a wonderful 6 1/2 years.

Yeah honestly I'm fine with this. One thing I notice is that we always see the results from you. If you take a break, you return refreshed and motivated to write more. If you take time to edit more instead of write sheer volume, the quality of your already good work becomes noticeably stronger. If you spend it just writing, we get SO MUCH BREAD. Honestly, anything you need to do is fine by me - I always benefit in the end
