I’d note that permeable means they probably don’t need to have oxygen generators, since it could diffuse gases back and forth with the water on the other side.

The bubble shield on the drowned ships don’t make sense. If the captain could spit from inside the shield to out of it, then we can assume that the barrier is permeable one way. But if we also assume that if the shield burns magic at a rate proportional to the pressure difference; Then wouldn’t it make more sense to have the barrier be non-permeable so you could raise and lower the internal pressure to lower the magic burn rate???

I don't think The Last Tide is free anywhere - but it also doesn't really tie into TWI as of right now. Afaik there was a single mention of Solka Vis and one more character who appaers in it but nothing more.
